Samsung has announcement a 200MP sensor, say hello to HP1 that is the name of the 200MP sensor with ISOCELL and a with of 0.64μm pixels.
The HP1 use pixel-binning like other brands Sony and Omnivision, the innovation here is ChameleonCell, which can adjust the extent of the binning depending on the environment, in other words it can output different resolutions based on the available light. So in good light can output 2-by-2 for 50MP and in low light 12.5MP combine pixels in a 4-by-4 binning.
Samsung's ISOCELL HP1 can record 8K videos at 30@fps and 4K@120fps, there now word when will be out in the phones, we think in the next Galaxy S22 Ultra.
